We seek an enthusiastic and outstanding postdoctoral researcher to join the Sanchez-Lopez Lab in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at University of California San Diego.

If you are an independent, passionate, and highly motivated postdoctoral researcher with strong previous research experience in innate immunity, inflammation, or bacterial infection do not hesitate to apply. Current projects are centered on the understanding of the mechanisms linking metabolic adaptation and signal transduction and effector function in activated immune cells during both joint inflammation (osteoarthritis) and pathogen infection. Basic Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Biology, or related field (within the first year of postdoctoral degree conferment preferred), and experience in at least one of the following:

  • Immunology (Innate cells preferred)

  • Viral/Bacterial Infection (experience in bacterial biofilms would be a plus)

  • Cellular Metabolism

• Collaborative individual with a strong interest in our research and working at the interfaces between multiple academic disciplines.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications (but not required)

• Mouse surgery skills.
